Park Ji-hyun: "If it were Jo Guk, by now there would have been about 10 search and seizures on Jeong Ho-young"

"'There must be facts of wrongdoing,' says Yoon, facts come out only after investigation... Is he really a former Prosecutor General?"
"Did former Minister Cho Kuk have facts to justify over 70 search warrants?"
"Jung Ho-young should be investigated even if he resigns... that's fairness"

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] Park Ji-hyun, co-chair of the Emergency Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized Health and Welfare Minister nominee Jeong Ho-young on the 18th, saying, "If it were former Minister Cho Kuk, there would have been searches at 10 places by now," and added, "Not investigating and claiming there are no facts?isn't that because he is a friend and they don't want to investigate?"

At the Emergency Committee meeting held at the National Assembly that morning, Chair Park said, "The fairness that President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol used to shout every time he opened his mouth has disappeared."

Chair Park pointed out, "President-elect Yoon expressed his determination to push forward with the appointment, saying, 'There must be clear facts of wrongdoing,' and asked, 'Did former Minister Cho Kuk have facts that led to searches at over 70 places?'" She added, "Is it not suspicious whether he is truly a president who was formerly a prosecutor general, since facts come out only after investigations are conducted."

She said, "Not investigating and claiming there are no facts means they won't investigate because he is a friend," and added, "If it were former Minister Cho Kuk, there would have been searches at about 10 places by now." She continued, "The prosecution is not moving at all right now," and criticized, "They are reverting to being servants of the regime again."

Chair Park emphasized, "Jeong Ho-young (the nominee) can also resign. Of course, even if he resigns, he must undergo investigation," and said, "That is fairness."
