원본보기 아이콘[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation announced on the 18th that it will release a new chocolate silver bar product for limited sale as a Family Month event in May.
The chocolate silver bar was first introduced last year under the name "Chocolate That Never Melts." At that time, the product was made in the actual shape of chocolate and gained great popularity among the MZ generation. This was because the chocolate silver bar attracted attention as a fun gift for the MZ generation, who pursue valuable consumption.
Building on the popularity of the chocolate silver bar last year, the Mint will release a special limited edition product called "Pink Berry" this year. This product features a silver bar with 99.99% purity and a weight of 100g, plated with a rose gold color to create a pink hue.
The product case also resembles a pink chocolate box, making it an ideal gift to exchange between lovers, according to the Mint's expectations.
Pink Berry will be issued in a limited quantity of 500 pieces, with a sale price of 297,000 KRW. Purchases are available from the 18th on the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation shopping mall, The Hyundai.com, Hyundai H Mall, GS SHOP, and other sites.
In addition, the Mint will hold a Family Month event through online shopping malls. From the 18th to the 24th, customers who purchase the chocolate silver bar will receive actual chocolate as a gift, and from the 25th to the 1st of next month, during Children's Day gift week, customers who purchase animal-related products that children would like will be given a dinosaur fossil excavation play kit.
Also, from the 2nd to the 8th of next month, for Parents' Day, customers who purchase the tiger banknote-shaped gold medal will be given a lucky 2-dollar bill on a first-come, first-served basis to express gratitude and respect to their parents.
Yoo Man-jae, Head of Sales Development at the Mint, said, "We hope that through the Mint's commemorative medals, silver bars, and other products, people will have the opportunity to give special and valuable gifts to their loved ones during Family Month."
