[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] The Korea Credit Guarantee Fund (KODIT) is collaborating with the Vietnam Small and Medium Enterprise Development Fund (SMEDF) to discuss ways to revitalize small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in both countries.

On the 18th, KODIT announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SMEDF, under the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam, on the 15th. This came after KODIT Chairman Daehui Yoon met with Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Minister of Vietnam’s Ministry of Planning and Investment, to convey the difficulties faced by companies operating locally and to discuss measures to enhance SME support in both countries.

Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to strengthen their mutual cooperation by sharing methods and information for SME support, promoting personnel exchanges to improve employee capabilities, and more.

Chairman Yoon stated, "We will actively reflect the diverse opinions collected from local companies and related organizations during the business trip in institutional improvements," adding, "We will continue to do our best to provide on-site, close support through the KODIT Hanoi office to ensure the successful settlement of companies operating locally."
