Starbucks Launches 'Pick Your Drink' Allowing Customers to Participate in Beverage Development 원본보기 아이콘


[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Starbucks Korea announced on the 18th that it will hold the ‘PICK YOUR DRINK’ event, where customers can directly participate in developing beverages.


The event, running from the 19th until the 4th of next month, is part of the mid-to-long-term brand campaign ‘FIND YOUR TASTE,’ which Starbucks has been conducting since last year to promote itself as a brand that respects diverse tastes.


Customers can participate directly in the recipe tournament from stages 1 to 5 and the beverage naming contest at stage 6 to develop a new Starbucks drink that reflects their own preferences.


From stage 1, where customers choose the main color and theme of the drink, to stage 2 for visuals, stage 3 for taste, stage 4 for flavor, and stage 5 for toppings, customers select one recipe from 2 to 3 options presented according to their preferences to develop the drink. On the final day, the 4th of next month, the stage 6 beverage naming event will be held. The final completed drink is scheduled to be launched as a new beverage in June.


During the event period, any Starbucks Rewards member who orders, pays for, and receives a beverage or food item via Siren Order can participate through the My Starbucks Review section of the Starbucks mobile app. Participants earn 1 star per stage, and if they participate in all stages, they receive an additional 6 stars, providing a maximum of 12 stars in rewards.


The recipes that receive the most votes at each stage will have their results announced the day after the survey closes via in-store event visuals. The overall tournament results will also be disclosed later on the Starbucks website.
