'Hansan: The Emergence of the Dragon' to be Released at the End of July

Lotte Entertainment announced on the 18th that the film Hansan: Rising Dragon will be released at the end of July. It is a grand war action movie highlighting the Battle of Hansan. The film depicts the strategies and spirit of Admiral Yi Sun-sin and the Joseon navy as they resist the advance of the Japanese forces. The Battle of Hansan was the greatest victory for Joseon during the seven years of the Imjin War. Director Kim Han-min recreates the turtle ship's exploits and the crane wing formation tactic with a fresh and profound perspective. By appropriately blending popular appeal, the film aims to continue the legacy of the previous work Myungryang, which set the highest box office record to date (17,613,682 viewers). Yi Sun-sin is portrayed by Park Hae-il. The cast also includes Byun Yo-han, Ahn Sung-ki, Son Hyun-joo, Kim Sung-kyu, Kim Sung-gyun, Kim Hyang-gi, Ok Taec-yeon, Gong Myung, Park Ji-hwan, and Jo Jae-yoon.
