[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jung-wan] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon expressed a critical reaction by comparing President Moon Jae-in in relation to President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol's remarks about Health and Welfare Minister nominee Jeong Ho-young.

On the 17th, former professor Jin shared a related article link on his Facebook and stated, "According to Cho Kuk's explanation, was there any fact of wrongdoing? Cho Kuk also said, 'There is no illegality,'" expressing his opinion.

Earlier that day, Bae Hyun-jin, spokesperson for the President-elect, said at a briefing at the transition office in Tongui-dong regarding nominee Jeong, "President-elect Yoon said, 'There should definitely be a fact of wrongdoing.'"

In response, former professor Jin said, "(President-elect Yoon) will later say, like someone else, 'I owe a debt of gratitude in my heart.'"

This is interpreted as a jab at President Moon Jae-in’s statement at a press conference on January 14, 2020, where he said, "(Former Minister Cho Kuk) has already suffered greatly from the hardships (such as the prosecution investigation), so I owe him a great debt in my heart."

Former professor Jin also expressed skepticism about nominee Jeong’s future political path, saying, "It seems he has decided to follow Cho Kuk’s path, so won’t the outcome be similar?"

Recently, former professor Jin also posted about the allegations of preferential treatment involving nominee Jeong’s children.

On the 14th, he shared a newspaper editorial titled "Jeong Ho-young, who transferred two children into his own school’s medical college, was there any verification?" and pointed out the related controversy, saying, "Let’s go, Cho Kuk Season 2, People Power Party edition."

Meanwhile, on the afternoon of the same day, nominee Jeong held a press conference at the auditorium of the National Medical Center in Seoul, claiming regarding the recent allegations of preferential treatment for his children, "There was no improper act using my position in my children’s medical school transfers or my son’s military service evaluation."
