[Asia Economy New York=Special Correspondent Joselgina] In Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, a shooting incident occurred in the early morning of the 17th (local time) at a house party, resulting in the deaths of two teenagers and injuries to at least eight others.
According to the AP News, the shooting took place around 12:30 a.m. at a short-term rental house in Pittsburgh where hundreds had gathered for a house party. Two teenage males were shot and killed, and eight others are receiving treatment at a hospital.
After the gunshots rang out, many attendees evacuated through windows and stairs, during which two people were injured by broken bones after jumping out of windows. The identities of the deceased have not been disclosed. It was reported that a significant number of attendees at the party were minors.
Scott Schubert, Chief of the Pittsburgh Police Department, explained, "After an argument broke out, gunshots were fired both inside and outside," adding, "It is possible that shots were exchanged." He stated, "It appears there were multiple shooters." The motive has not yet been confirmed. Police are investigating the incident, considering the possibility that alcohol, drugs, and illegal firearms were involved in the shooting.
