[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] “As the digital era approaches, the Yoon Seok-yeol administration also needs thorough preparation for future education.”

Park Hye-ja, a preliminary candidate for Gwangju Superintendent of Education, called for thorough preparation for future education in line with the upcoming digital era at a forum.

According to the Gwangju Future Education Innovation Forum on the 17th, a discussion titled “The 4th Industrial Revolution and Future Education” was held on the 15th at the 5th floor Budget and Accounts Committee meeting room of the Gwangju Metropolitan Council.

At the forum, Park Hye-ja, preliminary candidate for Gwangju Superintendent of Education, presented on the topic “How to prepare future education in the digital era.”

Park Hye-ja said, “The biggest issue in the current education field is how to teach our children in the digital era,” adding, “Now, with Edutech technology meeting education, learning no longer remains confined to the classroom.”

She continued, “As the era of personalized education accessible anytime and anywhere has arrived, an institution to support this is necessary,” and said, “If a Future Education Institute is established, students in the Gwangju area will be able to learn and experience high-quality future education without discrimination or restrictions.”

In this regard, Park Hye-ja has pledged to establish a Future Education Institute for the future education of Gwangju.

The Future Education Institute will be an educational platform accessible anytime, anywhere, and by anyone, serving as a support organization for an education system that responds to the rapidly changing digital education environment and technological changes.

In line with the Ministry of Education’s K-Edu integrated platform, it will manage personalized digital records and convert all activities in the education field into digital form to provide to students.

After the presentation, under the chairmanship of Professor Bae Sang-hyun of Chosun University, Professors Lee Du-hyu of Chonnam National University, parent Jeong Hyun-sook, and secondary school teacher Song Yoon-mi participated in a discussion on Gwangju’s future education.
