Kim Ji-hwan Appointed as Head of Management Division at Gwangju Urban Railway Corporation

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Urban Railway Corporation announced on the 17th that Kim Ji-hwan has newly assumed the position of Head of the Management Headquarters.

Head Kim graduated from the Law Department of Chosun University and began his public service career at Jeonnam Province. He is known as an administrative expert who has served as Director of Gwangju City Autonomous Administration, Evaluation Officer of the Planning and Coordination Office, and Director of Education Operations at the Public Officials Training Institute.

Head Kim not only possesses high expertise across various administrative fields such as personnel, labor-management relations, accounting and contracts, and performance management, but also excels in communication and crisis management through active exchanges with the local community. He is expected to play a significant role in solid operation and strengthening innovation of the corporation going forward.

Head Kim stated, “I will actively utilize the accumulated work know-how and expertise from my 34 years of public service to make Gwangju Urban Railway the cornerstone of ‘Green Smart Fun Gwangju,’ and will do my best efforts.” He expressed his ambition, saying, “Based on strengthening ESG management, we will create higher performance to maximize citizen happiness.”
