[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] The confirmation hearing for Prime Minister nominee Han Duck-soo will be held over two days, on the 25th and 26th.

Kang Byung-won, the Democratic Party of Korea lawmaker and floor leader for the special committee on the confirmation hearing for the Prime Minister nominee, and Sung Il-jong, the People Power Party lawmaker and floor leader, announced on the 15th that they have agreed on the schedule for Han's hearing.

On the same day in the afternoon, the special committee will hold its first meeting, appoint the committee chair and floor leaders from both parties, and approve the list of witnesses and reference persons.

The deadline for the confirmation hearing for nominee Han is the 26th of this month.
