Jangseong-gun Holds 'Public Project Response Plan Meeting'... Progress Status Checked

[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong County in Jeonnam recently held the '2022 Public Project Response Plan Report Meeting' at the county office situation room, focusing on checking the progress of public projects and discovering new projects.

According to the county on the 15th, the meeting was presided over by Im Yunseop, Deputy Governor of Jangseong, and attended by 24 executives including the Director of the County Administration and Welfare Bureau.

The county has laid the foundation for county administration development by selecting numerous public projects every year.

Last year, it achieved results by being selected for a total of 60.4 billion KRW worth of public projects, including the 'Jangsan District Flood Damage Living Zone Comprehensive Maintenance Project (national subsidy 24.5 billion KRW)' which repairs large-scale habitual flood damage areas.

Previously, in 2020, the county succeeded in attracting the National Subtropical Crop Demonstration Center of the Rural Development Administration with a national subsidy of 35 billion KRW.

This year's public project achievements are also noteworthy.

It has already secured 42.7 billion KRW in project funds by being selected for eight projects including the Agricultural Food Voucher Support Project (682 million KRW) that provides quality food to low-income residents, and the Old Water Supply Maintenance Public Project (41.2 billion KRW).

At the report meeting, after thoroughly reviewing the progress of public projects by department, the county additionally discovered new projects worth 57.2 billion KRW.

Major projects include the Rural Agreement (30 billion KRW), a package project for comprehensive rural space development, as well as ▲ Urban Regeneration New Deal (17.6 billion KRW) ▲ High-Quality Rice Distribution Activation (4.1 billion KRW) ▲ New Renewable Energy Convergence Support (4 billion KRW) ▲ Development Restriction Zone Resident Project (1.3 billion KRW) ▲ Expansion of Living Sports Facilities (1 billion KRW).

If selected as planned, the total public project funds secured by the county this year will approach approximately 100 billion KRW.

A county official said, "Along with the public projects reviewed at this meeting, we will effectively solve local issues through various approaches such as discovering national projects and regional extinction response fund projects."
