[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Com2uS announced on the 15th that its mobile game "Summoners War: Sky Arena," which celebrated its 8th anniversary this year, recorded sales of 8 billion KRW within just one day after the update, setting a new record for its highest sales.
Com2uS previously held a large-scale event and update on the 13th to commemorate the game's 8th anniversary. The main features included two new monsters and limited edition 8th anniversary gift items.
As a result, as of the 14th, the average number of simultaneous users across all servers worldwide increased sharply by nearly 50% compared to the previous day. During the same period, new users increased by 84%, and returning users rose by more than 254%.
“Summoners War” also saw a significant rise in rankings across all regions, including North and South America, Europe, and Asia. After the update, it ranked first in game sales in Germany and Greece (based on the Apple App Store), and entered the top 10 charts in several European countries such as France, the Netherlands, and Austria. It also re-entered the top 10 in North American countries like the United States and Canada, as well as South American countries including Brazil and Argentina.
Since its release in 2014, Summoners War has been a global hit, achieving over 130 million downloads and cumulative sales exceeding 2.7 trillion KRW, establishing itself as Com2uS’s flagship mobile game.
Com2uS is introducing various new games based on the solid world view of the Summoners War IP. Collaborating with Toei, Japan’s largest animation company, they are expanding the brand power of Summoners War through diverse content such as light novels, webtoons, comics, and animations.
