[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] NBT, a KOSDAQ-listed company, announced on the 15th that it will launch a mobile app-tech service called ‘chips’.
Chips offers various mobile coupons that can be used immediately at discounts of up to 10%. Points that can be used anytime on chips are also accumulated with every coupon purchase.
They plan to expand partner brands to increase the number of discount coupon products and raise discount rates. They are also considering applying a free point accumulation feature by linking with their self-operated offerwall network ‘Addison’. The service will be developed as an ‘app-tech’ service that accumulates points in various ways.
Forty leading domestic brands, including various dining franchises and convenience stores, have joined the chips service. They are selling a variety of coupons. It is expected to approach users with a highly efficient service.
Park Sugeun, CEO of NBT, explained, "If a brand is listed on chips, users can purchase chips coupons right before payment at offline stores and receive immediate discount benefits on-site," adding, "This reflects the consumption trends of the MZ generation who save on trivial things and invest in what they want."
He continued, "We will strengthen the experience of point accumulation and usage, and further develop it into a point investment experience that can generate additional revenue."
NBT is the number one domestic point platform operator that has verified the potential of the mobile point domain centered on services such as Addison Offerwall and Cashslide.
