Kiwoom Asset Management Joins Carbon Emission Assessment Consortium 'PCAF' 원본보기 아이콘

[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Kiwoom Asset Management announced on the 14th that it has joined the initiative "Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials" (PCAF), which measures the carbon emissions of global financial institutions, as part of its response to climate change.


PCAF is a consortium that provides and supports methods for calculating carbon emissions by asset classes such as stocks, bonds, and real estate, with more than 240 financial institutions currently participating.


Kiwoom Asset Management will measure and disclose the carbon emissions of its invested financial assets within the next three years.


Additionally, through PCAF's forum activities, it plans to research carbon emission measurement methodologies and advance ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) evaluation methodologies.


Kiwoom Asset Management has established a dedicated department to analyze ESG risks of investee companies and has developed its own ESG evaluation methodology.
