[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Min-jae] The Korea Federation of Micro Enterprise Associations announced on the 13th that it conducted a special fundraising campaign to comfort residents affected by the large wildfire in the East Coast region of Gangwon Province and donated 20 million won to the Gangwon Provincial Government.
At the donation ceremony for Gangwon region funds held that day, Oh Se-hee, President of the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprise Associations, and Lee Geuk-sang, President of the Gangwon Province Federation of Micro Enterprise Associations, attended. From Gangwon Province, Choi Moon-soon, Governor of Gangwon Province, and Kwak Do-young, Chairman of the Gangwon Provincial Council, were also present.
Oh Se-hee, President of the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprise Associations, said, "Despite the difficulties caused by COVID-19 nationwide, micro enterprises have gathered their sincerity for the residents affected by the wildfire in Gangwon region," and added, "I hope that the participation and sincerity of micro enterprises will help the recovery of the affected residents."
Choi Moon-soon, Governor of Gangwon Province, said, "I appreciate the sincerity and support of all micro enterprises for overcoming the wildfire damage," and added, "We will communicate more closely with micro enterprises in Gangwon Province and work to resolve difficulties on the ground."
