Commerce and Industry Day is a commemorative ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Since 1964, it has been held to commend the efforts of businesspeople who contributed to national economic development and local communities and to pledge the development of commerce and industry.
Go Seong-wook, head of Huvis Jeonju Plant, leads the Jeonju plant, Huvis's core production base, based on diverse work experiences such as head of Sacheon Huvis investment corporation, global sales, marketing, and purchasing.
He contributed to strengthening market dominance in the main product field of polyester filament through strategic leadership and excellent management skills. He was highly evaluated for achieving remarkable growth in various fields of the chemical fiber industry, including super fibers, industrial materials, daily-use materials, and eco-friendly materials.
He contributed to producing numerous world-class products (6) and next-generation world-class products (5) through technological innovation, and raised the company's competitiveness to the next level through profitability improvement due to continuous facility improvements and operational efficiency enhancement.
In addition, he is leading ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management by conducting social contribution activities for local communities and continuously investing in reducing carbon dioxide emissions, saving energy, and ensuring a safe working environment.
