[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Jeonnam Province announced on the 13th that starting this month, to reduce the burden of childcare expenses for families with multiple children, 131 Korean medicine clinics affiliated with the Jeonnam Korean Medicine Association will simultaneously offer discounts on herbal medicine purchases.

Users of the Jeonnam Multi-Child Happiness Card will receive a 10% discount (up to 50,000 KRW once a month) when purchasing herbal medicine.

The Jeonnam Multi-Child Happiness Card is a program that provides economic benefits through various discounts and point accumulation when using the card. The card can be issued to families with multiple children (two or more children, with the youngest under 13 years old) residing in Jeonnam.

With the registration of affiliated stores and the provision of discount benefits by the Jeonnam Korean Medicine Association, it is expected that practical medical expense benefits will be provided to families with multiple children.

For card issuance, if you already have a NongHyup BC Card, you can apply by visiting a NongHyup branch (including regional agricultural and livestock cooperatives) in the province with your ID and resident registration certificate. If you do not have a NongHyup BC Card, additional income verification documents are required.

Chairman Moon Gyu-jun said, "I hope that the discount support through the Multi-Child Happiness Card will help reduce the economic burden on families with newborns even a little," and added, "We hope to expand support for infertility treatment and carry out childbirth-related projects together with Jeonnam Province to create a childbirth-friendly atmosphere."

A Jeonnam Province official said, "We appreciate the Jeonnam Korean Medicine Association for registering as an affiliated store for the Jeonnam Multi-Child Happiness Card," and stated, "We will expand affiliated stores by consulting with organizations such as the Beauty Association and Academy Association to support various benefits for families with multiple children."

The Jeonnam Korean Medicine Association has been jointly promoting the "Korean Medicine Infertility Treatment Support" project initiated by Jeonnam Province since 2018. Over the past four years until last year, a total of 436 people were supported, among whom 68 succeeded in becoming pregnant, showing a success rate of 15.6%.
