PHC Receives Official Approval for COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test Kit

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] PHC announced on the 13th that it has obtained formal domestic approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for the COVID-19 rapid antigen test kit 'Gmate Covid-19 Ag.'

This approval is a conversion from the conditional approval granted in January to formal domestic approval. The rapid antigen test kit is currently the most commonly used product, allowing for a simple positive or negative result within 15 minutes using a nasopharyngeal swab specimen collection method for patients exhibiting infection symptoms.

A PHC official stated, “We expect that this approval will give momentum to the ongoing discussions regarding domestic distribution contracts.”
