[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] The Gyeonggi-do Livestock Promotion Center will resume the 'Youth Horse Industry Career Experience Education,' which had been suspended due to COVID-19, starting this year.

According to the province on the 13th, this project targets youth within the province and aims to provide new career experience opportunities through interaction with horses, such as horseback riding experiences, feeding horses, and grooming horses, with the goal of expanding the base of the horse industry.

The province decided to resume the program in line with the atmosphere of 'gradual recovery to daily life' and plans to implement it for a total of 1,200 participants this year.

In particular, the center will also conduct a 'visiting horseback riding experience and education' program, where horses are transported directly from the center to the facilities to provide horseback riding opportunities.

An Yong-gi, director of the Livestock Promotion Center, said, "We hope that the resumption of this program will serve as a driving force to revitalize the horseback riding industry, which has been stagnant until now."
