[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Ward, the operator of the real-time restaurant reservation platform 'Catch Table' (CEO Yong Tae-soon), announced on the 13th that it has successfully completed a Series C investment round worth 30 billion KRW.

This investment was led by Altos Ventures, with existing investors Company K Partners, Daol Investment, Korea Investment Partners, and Orion Asset Management also participating in additional investments. Catch Table secured approximately 42.5 billion KRW in cumulative investments within one year after its Series B funding round.

Catch Table is a real-time restaurant reservation platform launched by three former NHN members, including CEO Yong Tae-soon. Anyone who enjoys fine dining can search for restaurants based on location, menu, restaurant name, price, and other preferences. Notably, by simply entering the date, time, and number of people, users can easily make reservations at their desired restaurants. Since its official launch in September 2020, the platform surpassed 1.28 million monthly active users (MAU) in about 1 year and 9 months.

Recently, Catch Table launched a timeline service that allows users to record and share their dining experiences, and strengthened community features where users can check reviews and visited restaurants of friends and influencers. Additionally, Catch Table provides restaurants with a reservation management solution that helps predict real-time customer demand through features such as deposit management and vacancy notifications, minimizing losses. Currently, about 3,000 restaurants are listed on Catch Table.

CEO Yong Tae-soon stated, "Through this investment, Catch Table will strive to create a more advanced service combining convenient reservations, diverse curation, and community features," adding, "We plan to use the investment to secure talented personnel who will establish a culture of restaurant reservation platforms."

Park Hee-eun, partner at Altos Ventures who led the investment, explained, "While the capabilities of domestic chefs are improving and the population enjoying fine dining is increasing, expanding the fine dining market base, rising ingredient and rental costs, and difficulties in hiring hall staff are serious issues, making efficiency through IT technology essential," and added, "Catch Table brings high efficiency to restaurant operations through an integrated reservation solution and provides consumers with an unprecedented real-time reservation experience."
