[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Recently, with the easing of social distancing measures, the number of people visiting large-scale sports and performance facilities has increased, raising interest in solutions that can simultaneously address the resurgence of infectious diseases and safety accident concerns. S-1 has also recently received inquiries regarding quarantine and security services related to the operation of cultural facilities. S-1 has experience managing sports stadiums such as Daegu Lions Park, Daegu FC Park, and Changwon NC Park, as well as cultural sites like Hoam Art Museum, Transportation Museum, and Seosomun History Park.
On the 13th, S-1 announced that demand for quarantine and security solutions centered on large facilities has steadily increased, with sales in the building management sector growing rapidly from 560.9 billion KRW in 2019 to 596.7 billion KRW in 2020, and 650 billion KRW last year.
S-1 explained that its "Safe Solution," which simultaneously provides infectious disease prevention and security services, is gaining popularity when applied to large facilities. The Safe Solution consists of an AI-based fever detection solution for infectious disease prevention, a biometric-based facial recognition solution, and an ICT-based advanced security solution for enhanced security.
Management of confirmed cases begins at the facility entrance. The fever detection solution "HeatScan" is installed at entrances to check visitors' mask-wearing status and body temperature simultaneously. HeatScan detects mask-wearing using AI technology and is equipped with a standard heat source, enabling fever detection with an error margin of ±0.5℃, effectively controlling the entry of confirmed cases. Even if a confirmed case enters the facility, S-1’s high-definition CCTV allows for response. The movement paths of confirmed cases captured from a distance can be enlarged and clearly identified, enabling rapid classification of close contacts and facilitating prompt response.
S-1 also provides quarantine solutions for facility managers as well as visitors. Facial recognition solutions are installed inside large facilities to grant access permissions by zone. This separates the movement paths of facility managers and general visitors, minimizing infection through spatial contact. The facial recognition solution was installed last year in some professional baseball stadiums where schedules were suspended due to cluster infections, proving effective.
Additionally, S-1 has installed emergency call solutions linked to CCTV in high-risk areas and blind spots, allowing signals and corresponding location footage to be automatically transmitted to the integrated control room screen at the press of a button. This enables rapid response to emergencies. SOS buttons are installed in restrooms and parking lots to respond to potential accidents, and AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) are placed throughout to prepare for emergencies such as cardiac arrest. A covert camera inspection service is also provided so that female visitors can use the facilities with peace of mind.
An S-1 official stated, "As society gradually returns to normal, we will continue efforts to rapidly expand related solutions to restore safety and peace of mind from infectious diseases as well as various disasters and accidents."
