Gyeongbuk Gumi-si Launches Full-Scale 'Customized' Support Program for SMEs and Venture Companies

Gumi City is promoting a capacity-building project for small and venture business cluster facilities.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Gumi City, Gyeongbuk Province, is set to intensify customized support projects for companies to enhance the responsiveness of small and venture businesses to changes in the industrial environment.

Gumi City plans to focus on systematic commercialization support for small and venture companies, including securing patents and intellectual property rights, new product development, and business transformation.

The main projects include ▲Technology Doctor Project ▲Prototype Production Center ▲Small Business IP (Intellectual Property) Direct Support Project ▲Operation of Gumi Industrial Technology Information Center.

Experts in each field will visit small and venture companies directly to diagnose problems and provide various consulting, testing analysis, and simulation support.

Additionally, prototype production including design, manufacturing, analysis, and evaluation will be conducted in a one-stop process to reduce the burden on companies.

Specialized institutions in each field will support patent, design map, design, brand development, and production of promotional videos for patented technologies, providing consulting tailored to each company.

Through industry-academia-government cooperation, the plan aims to promote increased sales and export growth.

Jang Se-yong, Mayor of Gumi City, stated, “We will promote various support projects to strengthen the competitiveness of small and venture companies in line with changes in the industrial environment and continuously discover promising companies with innovation and growth potential.”
