Lotte Mart will hold a Hanwoo discount event from the 14th to the 20th to celebrate its 24th anniversary.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Lotte Mart announced on the 13th that it will hold a Korean beef discount event from the 14th to the 20th in celebration of its 24th anniversary.

In this event, the representative product, ‘Grade 1 Korean Beef Sirloin,’ will be offered at half price. Tenderloin, striploin, special cuts, soup cuts, and bulgogi will be available at a 40% discount when paid with event cards. Korean beef ox bones and miscellaneous bones will be sold at a 50% discount for L.Point members.

To offer Korean beef at an unprecedented price, Lotte Mart’s livestock merchandise planners (MDs) have been commuting to the livestock markets in Eumseong and Bucheon for a month to secure about 1,100 sirloin portions.

Seafood suitable for grilling at camping sites has also been prepared. The representative product, large abalone from Wando, will be offered at a 40% discount for L.Point members. Seasonal clams, surf clams, Manila clams, and blood cockles will also be available.

A Lotte Mart official said, "We are offering high-quality Korean beef sirloin, perfect for spring camping flex menus, at half price," adding, "We hope this opportunity allows families to enjoy Korean beef to their heart’s content and have a good time overcoming rising prices and the fatigue caused by COVID-19."
