Comprehensive Partnership with Korea Professional Football Federation through 2025

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Coupang announced on the 12th that Coupang Play and the Korea Professional Football League (K League) Federation have signed a comprehensive partnership. According to this comprehensive partnership, Coupang Play and the Korea Professional Football League Federation will actively collaborate until 2025 and carry out various activities for the development of the K League over the next four years. In particular, Coupang Play plans to make active investments in K League-related content businesses to provide more viewing opportunities for domestic football fans.


Coupang Play will begin live broadcasting of all K League matches through the Coupang Play service starting from Round 10 of K League 1 on the 5th of next month. In the future, it plans to produce and present new content depicting the world of professional football in South Korea. Additionally, Coupang will support the expansion of K League fans by selling K League merchandise through its platform and hosting K League event matches.


Kim Seong-han, General Director of Coupang Play, said, "Coupang Play has partnered with the Korea Professional Football League Federation to contribute to the revitalization of the K League and to be part of the success story of Korean football." He added, "With the signing of this partnership, we will provide domestic football fans with a more diverse and enjoyable football content viewing experience."
