Kwon Jun-hak, NH Nonghyup Bank President, Holds 'Together with Our Farms Partner Companies' Event

[Asia Economy Reporter Sim Nayoung] On the 11th, NH Nonghyup Bank President Kwon Junhak visited Haneul Nongga, an agricultural corporation located in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, to hold a commemorative event for being selected as a 'Partner Company of Our Farmers Together.'

According to NH Nonghyup Bank on the 12th, President Kwon Junhak held a plaque ceremony with Go Hwasoon, CEO of Haneul Nongga, and listened to the know-how of food manufacturing using domestic agricultural products. Since last year, Nonghyup Bank has been selecting 'Partner Companies of Our Farmers Together' with the aim of promoting mutual growth between domestic farmers and agro-food companies. This year, a total of 10 companies were selected, and through preferential loans, product sales, and promotional support, the bank plans to help the selected companies grow sustainably together with domestic farmers.

The newly selected Haneul Nongga is a company specializing in processing and manufacturing vegetable products through contract farming with over 300 farms nationwide. CEO Go Hwasoon of Haneul Nongga was recognized for excellence in traditional bracken fern manufacturing methods and was selected as a Master of Traditional Korean Food by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs at the end of last year.

President Kwon said, “We will do our best to fulfill Nonghyup Bank’s original role by actively discovering and supporting food manufacturing companies that utilize domestic agricultural products like Haneul Nongga.” After the plaque ceremony, an event was held to purchase ready-to-eat meals manufactured by the selected company for socially marginalized groups such as elderly living alone in Namyangju city and deliver them to the Namyangju Welfare Foundation.
