[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Main Customs Office awarded Im Nok-hee, Customs Administration Officer at Gunsan Customs, as the ‘Top Gwangju Customs Officer of March’ for contributing to the advancement of surveillance administration through planned monitoring based on information analysis.
Im Nok-hee, selected as the Top Gwangju Customs Officer of March, analyzed the possibility of improper exemption from port facility charges for transit vessels entering Gunsan Port and detected false entry reports and companies improperly exempted from port facility charges.
Additionally, to prevent recurrence, the system was improved and collaboration was strengthened by sharing the details with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.
On this day, employees who achieved excellent results in each work field were also selected as meritorious personnel and awarded together.
Kim Guk-hyun, Customs Administration Officer in the ‘Investigation Field,’ was recognized for his contribution to establishing fair trade order by apprehending an illegal drug sales organization through e-commerce, and Bang Seung-joo, Customs Administration Officer in the ‘Logistics and Surveillance Field,’ was acknowledged for detecting smuggling of tobacco and other luxury goods through thorough video surveillance.
Going forward, Gwangju Main Customs Office plans to select and reward the ‘Top Gwangju Customs Officer’ every month to boost the morale of hardworking employees and create a vibrant workplace atmosphere.
