[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] TFJ Global, a leading small and medium-sized enterprise in textile technology, announced on the 12th that it approved a proposal to change its company name to 'TFJ' at the recently held 7th regular shareholders' meeting.

Jin Eui-gyu, CEO of TFJ, stated, "We changed the company name to actively enter the global market and prepare for future listing. We are accelerating the completion of a carbon flame-retardant fiber factory under expansion in Dangjin, Chungnam, with an investment of about 20 billion KRW. We plan to select an underwriter in the second half of this year and pursue listing in the latter half of next year."

TFJ aims to achieve a 20% global market share of advanced carbon flame-retardant fibers by 2030, leveraging its mass production system factory completion and proprietary technology capable of water-repellent processing from synthetic fibers to natural fibers.

Founded in 2015, TFJ is a technology-intensive material startup that commercialized the world's first non-fluorine (CO) water-repellent processing technology called 'BLUELOGY,' using natural substances harmless to the human body.

The carbon flame-retardant fiber developed and being mass-produced by TFJ (brand name Materium) secures higher flame retardancy and excellent price competitiveness compared to representative flame-retardant fibers such as Aramid and Kevlar. Therefore, it can be applied not only to textiles but also to various industrial fields such as construction materials, firefighting, ESS, electric vehicles, and ships.

CEO Jin said, "The new material technology possessed by TFJ can be widely applied in the smart textile field, which will lead the next generation of the 4th industrial revolution. Based on excellent technology, we will expand our market worldwide."
