[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] JW Pharmaceutical announced on the 12th that it held a ‘Consumer-Centered Management (CCM) Proclamation Ceremony’ at its headquarters in Seocho-dong, Seoul, attended by CEO Shin Young-seop and other key executives.

Consumer-Centered Management is a system that evaluates whether all activities conducted by a company are operated with a consumer focus. It is operated by the Korea Consumer Agency and certified every two years by the Fair Trade Commission.

At this proclamation ceremony, JW Pharmaceutical formed the ‘Consumer-Centered Management Committee’ and appointed CEO Shin Young-seop as chairman and Lee Se-chan, Head of the Compliance Management Division (CCO, Chief Customer Officer), as vice chairman to lead the organization.

The executives and employees read a declaration pledging to further strengthen customer-centered management activities, prioritizing ‘patient treatment’ based on the founding philosophy of respect for life and pioneering spirit, and signed a practice pledge. Following this, former Korea Consumer Agency expert Kim Jeong-ho gave a special lecture on the topic of ‘The Relationship Between ESG Management’s Social Responsibility Indicators and CCM.’

Shin Young-seop, CEO of JW Pharmaceutical, said, “The reason JW has been able to supply countless essential therapeutic drugs to medical sites and lead innovative drug development over the past 77 years is because of a patient-centered mindset throughout our management. We will continue to stand in the position of our customers, embrace change and challenges, and do our best to establish a sustainable management system.”
