[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is conducting a 'Regulation Discovery and Improvement Idea Contest' to improve unreasonable regulations that cause inconvenience in daily life.
According to Nam-gu on the 12th, this contest is targeted at local residents and Nam-gu Office public officials.
The theme of the contest is all unreasonable regulations that cause inconvenience in daily life, and proposals will be accepted from this month until July.
The contest proposal form can be downloaded from the notice section of the Nam-gu Office website, and documents should be prepared according to the related form and submitted via email or by visiting the Planning Office on the 7th floor of Nam-gu Office.
Nam-gu plans to hold a Regulatory Reform Committee meeting after receiving proposals until July to review the creativity, feasibility, and effectiveness of the proposals and select excellent ideas.
The top prize winner will receive a prize of 500,000 KRW, and five excellent works and ten encouragement works will each receive prizes of 300,000 KRW and 200,000 KRW respectively, to be awarded in September.
A Nam-gu official stated, “We plan to focus on discovering tasks that can improve residents' daily life or economic activities,” adding, “We will actively discover and improve unreasonable regulations to raise residents' interest in regulatory improvement.”
