[Asia Economy Reporter Sim Nayoung] Shinhan Bank announced on the 12th that it will hold the ‘Nunnopi Praise Account 5-Week Challenge’ event for students at Daekyo Nunnopi Learning Center to help the ‘Alpha Generation’ (born after 2010) develop study habits and improve financial literacy. The ‘Nunnopi Praise Account 5-Week Challenge,’ which will run for five weeks starting from the 25th, targets students attending some Nunnopi Learning Centers in the metropolitan area. Applications for the event can be made through the participation link sent by Daekyo via text message until the 22nd, with participation limited to the first 1,000 applicants.

Students who start the challenge will receive praise stamps daily based on their academic achievements on the ‘Nunnopi Praise Account,’ jointly created by both companies, and can accumulate ‘Nunnopi Allowance.’ Additionally, the Praise Account connects offline learning results online, allowing parents to check their child’s progress in real time, which is expected to enhance academic achievement and add fun to the challenge along with parental encouragement.

Shinhan Bank plans to provide children’s financial education content produced by the bank through Daekyo’s official YouTube channel to students participating in the challenge to improve their financial literacy, and to inform parents about the importance of financial education.

Both companies signed a business agreement in 2021 to build ‘Kids Bank,’ a convergence platform based on finance, education, and fun for elementary and middle school students, and prepared this event to verify the ‘Kids Bank’ process and reflect customer feedback.

Shinhan Bank has conducted financial education programs for children, adolescents, and financially marginalized groups for 10 years, providing financial education 4,380 times to a total of 343,167 people by the end of December last year.
