KT "Digital Statement Users Surpass 20 Million Customers"

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] KT announced that it will hold the 'Green World with KT Digital Statement' event to celebrate surpassing 20 million users of digital statements.

KT explained that this event was planned to reduce resources consumed and carbon emissions generated during the production and delivery process of paper statements.

KT customers who currently use paper statements can participate in this event by switching to digital statements (mobile statement, email statement, smart statement, web statement, mobile notification statement) and applying through the KT website by May 13.

Over the past 10 years, KT has reduced carbon emissions by 5,400 tons through the use of digital statements. This is equivalent to planting approximately 187,000 trees. In addition to digital statements, KT was the first in the telecommunications industry to introduce 'Naver Statement' and 'Mobile Notification Statement' in January 2021.

Park Hyo-il, Senior Vice President of KT Customer Experience Innovation Division, stated, "KT is leading efforts to preserve the Earth's environment for current and future generations and is strengthening its social responsibility. We will continue to strive to practice and expand differentiated Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) activities that anyone can easily participate in their daily lives."
