[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The May 18 Memorial Foundation is holding the 'May Memory Forum' five times from March to June to understand various themes of the democratization movement.


At the 2nd forum to be held on the 15th, Professor Lee Young-jae of Hanyang University will give a lecture on the theme of 'May 18 and Daedong Democracy.'


Professor Lee aims to connect the numerous practices during the May 18 period, named the 'Rice Ball Community' and the 'Blood Donation Community,' with the concept of 'Daedong.'


The discussion on the lecture will be led by Professor Heo Wan-jung of Chonnam National University Law School.


Meanwhile, at the 3rd 'May Memory Forum' to be held on April 28, Choi Jeong-gi, director of the May 18 Research Institute at Chonnam National University, will lead a discussion on the theme of 'The Possibility of Establishing May 18 Studies.'
