[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital announced on the 12th that it has opened and started operating a 'COVID-19 Recovery Clinic' at 21 Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospitals and Jaseng Korean Medicine Clinics nationwide to treat various symptoms caused by COVID-19.
The Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital COVID-19 Recovery Clinic allows patients to choose between in-person and remote consultations according to their individual circumstances. In particular, it is possible to treat not only post-COVID-19 sequelae but also patients undergoing home treatment. Home treatment patients receiving in-person care can use hospital services such as treatment, registration, and payment separately from general patients to avoid contact.
In addition, detailed treatment guidelines have been established for symptoms related to COVID-19 and its aftereffects, including herbal medicine, pharmacopuncture, acupuncture, and Chuna manual therapy, providing systematic treatment tailored to the patient's symptoms. Based on diagnostic results, herbal medicines proven effective for cough, fatigue, fever, indigestion, and other symptoms are prescribed to alleviate major symptoms.
Along with pharmacopuncture treatment, which has excellent immune-boosting effects, acupuncture is applied to acupoints such as Yeongnyeol and Indang to help strengthen respiratory and overall body functions. Through Chuna manual therapy, the cervical spine (neck bones) and skull are corrected to reduce accumulated fatigue and increase cerebral blood flow, among other Korean manual treatments. X-ray, CT imaging, blood tests, and vitamin infusions supplying essential nutrients are also provided through integrative Korean and Western medicine collaboration.
Lee Jin-ho, director of Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital, stated, “To minimize COVID-19 symptoms and aftereffects, prompt treatment is important, so we recommend starting treatment early before symptoms become chronic and interfere with daily life.”
