[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The international vaccine procurement project COVAX initially canceled all COVID-19 vaccines allocated to North Korea but has reallocated 1.83 million doses after about ten days.

According to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) 'COVID-19 Vaccine Market Dashboard' on the 12th, North Korea was allocated 1,828,800 vaccine doses.

The types of vaccines were not disclosed.

Earlier this year, North Korea was allocated 1.28 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine and 250,000 doses of the Novavax vaccine, but since it did not express willingness to accept them, the allocation was canceled earlier this month.
