[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] The Korea International Trade Association announced on the 10th that it will launch the 'Startup Branch Office Hour,' a package offering various content and support programs to help startups grow and undergo digital transformation.
This program, which provides information and consulting needed throughout the entire lifecycle of startups, consists of various content such as ▲know-how for overseas expansion ▲work efficiency improvement methods ▲startup management ▲legal consultations ▲book concerts. Offline exchanges among startups, which had slowed due to COVID-19, are also planned to be revitalized through this program.
The association, in collaboration with overseas regional headquarters, will introduce startup ecosystems, investment attraction trends, and cases of startup expansion in major hub regions for startups wishing to expand overseas. Additionally, live webinars will be held inviting local industry figures, focusing on overseas markets with high potential for Korean startups such as China, Europe, the United States, and Southeast Asia.
Quarterly 'Work Expert Seminars' will also be held to improve work efficiency and support digital transformation for small and medium member companies. These seminars will introduce digital work tools and programs such as document approval and finance solutions, work messengers, and cloud services.
In the management program, experts in fields such as HR and labor, finance, investment attraction, and marketing will be invited to give lectures every quarter on various issues arising from managing startups.
On the third Friday of every month, in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, one-on-one legal consultation opportunities between startups and professional lawyers will be provided, along with seminars on essential legal knowledge that startups must know.
On the last Tuesday evening of every month, a book concert introducing new books related to open innovation will be held jointly with the Korea Industrial Intelligence Association. This networking event introduces books and shares the author's insights with mid-sized company officials and startups interested in innovation and new growth engines.
This month, the following events will be held: a webinar on the Chinese startup ecosystem trends (14th), legal office hour and startup intellectual property seminar (15th), the first Work Expert Seminar (19th), and a book concert (26th). Applications can be made on the KITA website.
Jang Seok-min, head of KITA's Digital Innovation Headquarters, said, "Startup Branch is a space that provides growth opportunities to startups through connection and sharing," adding, "We will continue to strengthen the role of Startup Branch to support the scale-up of our startups and the digital transformation of small and medium member companies."
