[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is holding the ‘2022 Hamyang-gun Tourism Photo Contest’ to promote the county by securing photos capturing various cultural and tourism resources.
Organized by the Hamyang-gun branch of the Korea Photographers Association, this tourism photo contest targets photos taken since 2021 that promote Hamyang-gun’s major cultural, natural, tourism resources, and festivals.
The work specifications require digital photos of at least 3 million pixels and 3000×2000 pixels or higher, printed in 11×14 inch size, which can be submitted in person at the Cultural Tourism Division of the county office or by registered mail.
The submission period is from January 2 to January 20, 2023, with judging and announcement scheduled for February of the same year. A total of 56 works will be selected and awarded.
The winning works will be used for promotional materials and to discover hidden scenic spots to develop and create new tourism resources (such as popular photo spots and hip places).
A Hamyang-gun official stated, “This photo contest, held for the first time in a while since the 6th Mulrebangagol Hamyang Cultural Tourism National Photo Contest in 2015, is expected to serve as an opportunity to inform tourists of the newly changed tourist sites and the scenery of Hamyang-gun.”
