[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, stated that larger-scale mass killings of civilians may have occurred in other areas such as Brodyanka, beyond Bucha.

According to CNN on the 4th (local time), President Zelensky said in a speech released that day, "At least 300 civilians were killed in Bucha, which was recaptured by the Ukrainian army," and added, "The number of victims in Brodyanka and other cities could be much higher."

He continued, "In many regions including Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy, the Russian army committed acts that were unseen even during the Nazi occupation 80 years ago," and raised his voice, saying, "Russia must clearly be held accountable for this."

He said, "Russia will try to cover up the traces of crimes committed in Ukraine," and emphasized, "It is important for international journalists to come directly to Bucha and other cities to document the killings of civilians."

He added, "Ukraine's concern is that the most transparent investigation into the killing of civilians takes place," and announced that he plans to speak at the United Nations Security Council on the 5th. President Zelensky will also deliver a speech at the Spanish parliament that day.
