[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] The Ulsan City Choir will present the planned concert "Songs That Touch the Heart" on April 7th at 7:30 PM at the Small Theater of the Ulsan Culture and Arts Center.
This performance, featuring a variety of genres including Korean art songs, foreign art songs, and famous arias, can be enjoyed through solo and choral singing. Artistic Director Donghee Park will conduct, and announcer Seungjae Lee from Ulsan Broadcasting (ubc) will host, providing explanations about the pieces to help the audience's understanding.
In particular, it is expected to be a stage where 13 members, including principal singers Seonga Kim, Yeonsil Jeong, Kyuhyun Jeong, and Jinyong Kim, will showcase their abilities as soloists.
The concert opens with the soloist's voice performing "The Song My Mother Taught Me," composed by Dvo??k as he overcame the sorrow of losing three children through memories with his mother.
Following this, the audience can enjoy three German art songs and familiar Korean art songs such as "Longing for Geumgangsan" and "Bakyeon Waterfall" performed as solos.
The finale stage will leave a lasting impression with a grand and splendid choral harmony medley of famous opera arias.
A representative of the Ulsan City Choir said, "We have prepared a variety of music genres, including Korean art songs that highlight the lyrical beauty of Korea and German art songs that show the essence of art songs," adding, "We hope to awaken dormant emotions with gentle and sometimes cheerful resonance."
Admission to the concert is 10,000 KRW for all seats, with a 30% discount for center members, 20% for groups, and 50% for students (elementary, middle, and high school) and youth card holders.
