Preliminary Administrative Disposition for Jo Min's Busan National University Admission Cancellation to Be Decided at Today's Faculty Meeting

[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The preliminary administrative disposition decision to cancel the admission of Cho Min, daughter of former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk, to the Pusan National University Medical School will be announced on the afternoon of the 5th.

Pusan National University will hold a faculty meeting in the afternoon to review the preliminary administrative disposition. If there are no objections during the faculty meeting, a conclusion will be reached immediately.

Based on its own investigation results, Pusan National University will make a decision and then report the review proposal to the faculty meeting. Thirty-two people, including the president, deans of colleges, and university headquarters officials, will attend the meeting.

Earlier, Pusan National University conducted a hearing through an external person to proceed with the hearing procedure. The hearing chairperson submitted the resolution related to the admission cancellation to the university headquarters on the 8th of last month.

Previously, in August last year, Pusan National University issued a preliminary administrative disposition of 'admission cancellation' based on the results of its own investigation by the Admission Fairness Management Committee.

On January 27, the Supreme Court upheld the original sentence of four years imprisonment for Jung Kyung-shim, professor at Dongyang University and mother of Cho, on charges of admission fraud, and judged that Cho's seven major credentials were false.
