[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Music copyright royalty participation claim investment platform Musicow announced on the 5th that Professor Seungjoo Kim of the Department of Information Security at Korea University has been appointed as an advisory committee member for information security and fintech as it is forming an 'Investor Protection Committee.'
The Musicow Investor Protection Committee is expected to play a role in promoting the healthy and sustainable growth and development of the music copyright investment and IP finance market. To this end, it plans to recruit leading experts in various fields such as information security, finance, accounting, law, and copyright as advisory committee members to discuss various practical tasks including ▲ investor protection ▲ establishment and expansion of intellectual property (IP) finance ▲ copyright securitization ▲ improvement of creators' rights and interests.
Professor Kim graduated with a bachelor's degree in Information Engineering from Sungkyunkwan University and obtained a master's and doctorate in Information Engineering from the same graduate school. His major career highlights include serving as a team leader at the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), advisor to the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, and member of the Presidential 4th Industrial Revolution Committee.
In addition to Professor Kim, Musicow plans to recruit experts who sympathize with Musicow's direction and vision for investor protection as well as support for the music ecosystem as advisory committee members.
Professor Kim said, "I joined the committee to support Musicow's intention to further strengthen user protection through unprecedented innovative services," and added, "As an advisory committee member, I will spare no advice to help Musicow establish a music copyright market investment ecosystem with high trust and grow as a future fintech company."
