[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Paradise's flagship hotels and resorts have launched an assault on the premium HMR (Home Meal Replacement) market.
On the 5th, Paradise Hotel & Resort announced the first release of a total of eight dishes from its main restaurants in convenient meal form.
The newly introduced products consist of popular menu items from Paradise City's Italian restaurant 'La Scala' and Paradise Hotel Busan's Chinese restaurant 'Nampung.' Based on Paradise Group's 50 years of food and beverage expertise, the head chefs of each restaurant, each with decades of experience, directly participated in product development, creating convenient meals that faithfully replicate the flavors experienced at the hotels.
The HMR products developed by Paradise City's 'La Scala' include two types of pasta?'Bolognese Tagliatelle Pasta' and 'Truffle Tagliarin Pasta'?and three types of pizza?'Truffle Punggi Wood-fired Pizza,' 'Margherita Wood-fired Pizza,' and 'Quattro Cheese Wood-fired Pizza.' Italian Chef Checcato, who has worked at renowned Italian restaurants, directly participated in the development, resulting in menus that capture the essence of Italian flavors. The two pasta dishes feature a perfect harmony of sauces that maximize taste and aroma with soft and chewy fresh noodles. The three pizzas use dough made from ingredients sourced directly from Italy, aged for 48 hours, allowing customers to enjoy authentic Italian wood-fired pizza flavors.
Paradise Hotel Busan's 'Nampung' introduced three HMR products: 'Paljin Seafood Hot Noodles,' 'Sichuan Jajangmyeon,' and 'Juicy Fruit Sweet and Sour Pork.' Developed under the guidance of Executive Chef Jeon Seoksu, a top authority in Chinese cuisine with over 30 years of experience in Korea and mainland China, these are refined Chinese dining convenience meals. The two noodle dishes combine deeply flavored sauces made from fresh ingredients with chewy fresh noodles. The sweet and sour pork features juicy pork and fruit sauce, allowing customers to easily enjoy the 'crispy outside, tender inside' premium hotel-style sweet and sour pork at home.
The eight HMR products from Paradise Hotel & Resort were first unveiled on the same day at Hyundai Department Store's online food shopping mall, 'Hyundai Food Hall ToHome.'
A representative from Paradise Hotel & Resort stated, “With the growing demand for HMR, we have challenged the premium HMR market to provide consumers with a dining experience infused with Paradise's 50 years of food and beverage expertise. Moving forward, we will continue to research and develop diverse hotel gourmet products that can be conveniently enjoyed at home and expand distribution channels to strengthen customer engagement.”
