Global Tax Free Subsidiary Elsolu Supplies AI Voice Recognition Technology for Next-Generation Criminal Justice Information System

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Elsolu (formerly Sistran International), an AI voice recognition specialist and a subsidiary of Global Tax Free, announced on the 5th that it will supply voice recognition technology to the automatic statement creation service within the Ministry of Justice’s next-generation criminal justice information system construction project.

The next-generation criminal justice information system construction project is an initiative to digitize the national criminal justice system, which has been a blind spot for digitalization as most procedures were conducted through paper documents. This system is expected to be used by the Ministry of Justice, the Prosecutor’s Office, the National Police Agency, and the Korea Coast Guard in the future.

In particular, the Ministry of Justice plans to apply Elsolu’s AI voice recognition technology in the automatic statement creation sector as part of criminal justice work innovation, aiming to shorten investigation times and enhance human rights protection during investigations through recorded testimonies. Additionally, it will be introduced in remote video investigation services, which is expected to alleviate the inconvenience for citizens who currently have to appear in person at investigative agencies even for simple statements.

A company representative said, “Elsolu’s AI voice recognition technology applied to the automatic statement creation service within the next-generation criminal justice information system is expected to overcome the limitations of the technology used in previous systems,” adding, “It will improve work efficiency and convenience in statement creation for the Ministry of Justice, the Prosecutor’s Office, the National Police Agency, and the Korea Coast Guard.”

Based on its successful supply of AI voice recognition solutions tailored to the characteristics of various public institutions such as the Korea Legal Aid Corporation, the National Pension Service, and the Seoul Waterworks Authority, Elsolu is expected to provide AI voice recognition technology optimized for criminal justice information in the Ministry of Justice’s next-generation criminal justice information system as well.

In particular, Elsolu, which supplies the core AI voice recognition technology for this artificial intelligence contact center, has entered the voice recording market through the Ministry of Justice’s criminal justice information system construction project and plans to expand into various fields such as local governments, counseling centers, and the medical industry, where conversations are conducted and records are kept.

Kim Woo-gyun, CEO of Elsolu, stated, “Elsolu’s AI voice recognition technology, boasting a recognition rate of over 98% with fast processing speed even in low system environments, is expected to expand its application range beyond the AICC industry to voice recording and more,” adding, “In addition to the pure voice recognition market, we plan to pioneer new markets such as video subtitle translation, metaverse, and real-time video interpretation by combining it with the recently launched AI translation solution ezNTS.”
