Market Kurly 'Simple and Crispy' Series In-Depth Review

If You Have Only an Air Fryer, I Can Be a Chef Too♥

Traditionally, if you're a foodie, you shouldn't leave your refrigerator empty. You need to stock a variety of refrigerated products. Frozen foods should always be on standby for when you're unsure what to eat, want something quick, or find large amounts of delivery food overwhelming. For the editor, reaching for frozen foods usually happens when the bank account is sending an SOS. Before payday, you have to rely on pre-stocked food. While shopping online, Market Kurly's private brand (PB) products from Culis caught my eye and drained my bank balance. Let's dive into a full review of Market Kurly's 'Simple and Crispy' series.

▶ Boneless Chicken

This boneless chicken has a thick, juicy appearance with oil glistening, and you can enjoy it crispy just by cooking it in an air fryer. The domestic chicken thigh meat is coated in handmade batter, making it moist and tender rather than dry. It has a slightly spicy flavor, so you can eat it endlessly without getting tired of it, even without any sauce. Dipping it lightly in salt brings back memories of old-fashioned chicken.

"Chicken is the truth!" I've said it so many times my mouth hurts. Many franchises offer various types of chicken, but considering the long delivery times due to soccer matches and the costly delivery fees, haven't you sometimes wished for frozen chicken? This is perfect for those times.

One-line review: Chicken is truly the truth! (My mouth doesn't hurt because it's true)

▶ Whole Pork Loin Cutlet

Can you just pass by a pork cutlet with such a lively texture? I thought the thick meat would be dry, but it was moist and tender to the core. The crispy texture comes from the perfect ratio of evenly textured dry breadcrumbs and moist, textured wet breadcrumbs. Throughout eating, the soft texture of the whole pork loin overflowed, and the meat's chewiness was perfect.

Among delivery menus, pork cutlets are often hit or miss because they can become soggy during delivery. Personally, the editor rarely orders delivery pork cutlets except for soft-style Western cutlets. I usually eat pork cutlets at the store or use frozen products. I would like to suggest that it would have been nice if the pork cutlet sauce was included.

One-line review: So crispy it might scrape your palate.

▶ Sweet and Sour Pork

This sweet and sour pork has a soft and chewy texture rather than crispy. It uses whole pork loin from healthy Korean pork raised without antibiotics, giving it a natural mild flavor. It’s neither tough nor does it have much of an off-flavor. The sauce contains various vegetables such as apple concentrate, onion, wood ear mushroom, cucumber, carrot, and green bell pepper, and has a thin consistency. The taste is more sour than sweet, so it might be polarizing.

The way to enjoy authentic sweet and sour pork is to eat it at a Chinese restaurant. But no delivery, no dining out! Now is the era where you can enjoy sweet and sour pork at home. Just order a bowl of jajangmyeon and with an air fryer, your home instantly becomes a Chinese restaurant.

One-line review: Almost zero sweetness. Recommended if you like sour sweet and sour pork!

The thickness of the meat. The batter that’s neither too thin nor too thick. Easy preparation. These took my heart in that order. These products truly live up to the phrase 'Simple and Crispy.' I don’t know how I lived without an air fryer before.
