[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 29th that it will operate a reporting reception desk for one month next month to ensure that corporations with a December fiscal year-end operating within the jurisdiction can smoothly report and pay the corporate local income tax within the period.
The corporate local income tax is a tax item that must be reported and paid to the local government having jurisdiction over the corporation's registered head office or main office location by May 2 for corporate income attributable to 2021.
If there are business sites in two or more local governments, the report must be apportioned by each business site and submitted separately to all local governments where the business sites are located, while the attached documents need only be submitted to the local government where the head office is located.
For payment methods, to promote electronic reporting, a separate corporate local income tax reporting page is operated on the Wetax system, making it more convenient to report and pay electronically.
Considering that social distancing is being implemented due to COVID-19, the county actively recommends internet reporting over visits or mail.
Failure to report or underreport within the reporting and payment deadline, or failure to submit various reports (attached documents), will result in additional taxes, so special caution is required.
A county official said, "Considering that reports will be concentrated on the deadline of May 2, we ask that you report and pay in advance within the period as much as possible."
