[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Naver announced on the 21st that CEO Choi Soo-yeon and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Kim Nam-sun each purchased 314 shares of Naver stock (approximately 108 million KRW).
Naver explained the executives' stock purchases as "an expression of confidence in the company's long-term growth and a commitment to responsible management."
Earlier, at the shareholders' meeting held on the 14th, CEO Choi stated, "Naver has grown thanks to the unwavering support of shareholders over the past 20 years," adding, "We will accelerate the global business growth of various business sectors and continuously create new businesses to be properly rewarded with market value."
CEO Choi has been conveying messages about corporate growth both inside and outside the company. Her first step was sending an internal letter to employees immediately after the shareholders' meeting, and on the 18th, she attended 'Companion Day' to spend time communicating with employees. At this event, CEO Choi said, "This year marks the first year of business diversification for our global operations," adding, "We will strengthen our offensive in commerce and content business sectors such as webtoons, and establish unique business models on the global stage using Naver's technology and experience."
