According to Shinsegae Department Store, from July 27 last year to February 28 this year, cosmetics sales at the Gangnam branch increased by 20% compared to the same period last year, and the number of purchasing customers also rose by 10%.
Earlier, Shinsegae Department Store renovated and reopened the first floor of the Gangnam branch in July last year, unveiling the largest cosmetics specialty store in Korea. It gathered over 50 brands in one place, including seven new beauty brands such as Poare, Swiss Perfection, Givenchy, Gucci Beauty, and Laura Mercier.
Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam branch will hold a popup store for the global beauty brand Est?e Lauder on the first floor, The Stage, from the 10th to the 13th. This popup store will introduce Shinsegae-exclusive sets such as the Brown Bottle Serum and cushion, and offer a stationery engraving service by artist Jang Youngho.
Kim Seonjin, head of Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam branch, said, “With a successful renovation, the Gangnam branch, which introduced the largest cosmetics specialty store in Korea, has prepared a special popup store to welcome spring,” adding, “We will continue to strive to provide differentiated content to our customers.”
