[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Gimcheon City in Gyeongbuk held a completion ceremony for the youth cultural space, ‘Cheongsonyeon Munhwa-ui Jip (Youth Culture House),’ on the 24th.
Cheongsonyeon Munhwa-ui Jip was built on the site of the old Polytech University dormitory on Mundang-gil, with a total project cost of 8.5 billion KRW, covering a total floor area of 2,438.3㎡ across three above-ground floors.
The first floor includes the Youth Culture House, an open library, cafeteria, fitness room, and karaoke rooms. The second floor houses the Child and Youth Friendly Team, multipurpose room, performance practice room, cooking experience room, and home base room. The third floor consists of the Youth Counseling Welfare Center, individual and group counseling rooms, a large auditorium, and a learning support room.
Kim Chung-seop, Mayor of Gimcheon City, said, “I hope that the newly established Youth Culture House will become a place where young people can freely express their talents and creativity, and serve as a mental resting place where they can relax and find peace.”
