Pukyong National University Holds February 2022 Graduation Ceremony

The degree conferment ceremony at Pukyong National University is currently underway.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] On the 25th, Pukyong National University held this year's degree conferment ceremony at the university theater.

Due to the spread of COVID-19, only a limited number of attendees, including representatives of degree recipients, were present at the venue. The ceremony was conducted in a hybrid format, with the event broadcast live on YouTube.

The total number of degree recipients at Pukyong National University in February 2022 was 3,308, including 108 doctoral, 422 master's, and 2,778 bachelor's graduates.

While primarily conducting the event online, Pukyong National University installed photo zones featuring the school mascot throughout the campus to allow graduates to leave memories.

From the 21st to the 25th, academic gown rentals were also provided by department and major for graduation commemorative photo shoots.

At the degree conferment ceremony, Jeong Yoon-jung from the Department of Chinese Studies received the President's Award for academic excellence, and Lim Yoon-seop from the Department of Mechanical Design Engineering received the Alumni Association President's Award.

President Jang Young-su said in his degree conferment address, "Despite the COVID-19 crisis, you have worked hard in your studies and earned the honor of obtaining your degrees. I sincerely thank and comfort each and every one of you with open arms."

President Jang emphasized, "I believe in your capabilities and strong will as you have grown into convergent talents by learning, practicing, and serving vigorously within the Pukyong community. I earnestly ask that your steps continue as a great journey not only for yourselves but also for others."
