At the agreement ceremony held on the 22nd, detailed matters related to the promotion of the city gas pipeline construction project in some areas of Dongbu-dong and Seobu-dong, mutual cooperation for city gas supply, and joint burden of project costs were discussed.
This year, a total of 838 million KRW will be invested in three sections including Dongbu-dong to install 2.9 km of city gas supply pipes and newly supply city gas to 123 households.
It is expected that supplying city gas to the unsupplied areas will reduce residents' fuel costs and improve the residential environment.
Currently, the city gas supply rate in Yeongcheon City is 51.9% (88.6% in the Dong area), and it plans to increase the city gas supply rate to 90% in five Dong areas of Yeongcheon City by 2025.
Last year, Yeongcheon City installed 8.1 km of city gas supply pipes in Geumho-eup Naengcheon-ri, some areas of Seobu-dong and Jungang-dong (from Gyochon-dong to Changu-dong, from Hwaryong-dong to Seongnae-dong), supplying city gas to a total of 404 households.
At the agreement ceremony, Mayor Choi Ki-moon of Yeongcheon and CEO Kim Jun-seok of Seorabeol City Gas agreed to continuously promote the city gas pipeline construction project in Yeongcheon City.
