원본보기 아이콘[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Dong-joo] On the 14th, Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, visited the National Seoul National Cemetery in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, to pay respects. At the Memorial Tower, Candidate Lee paid tribute, laid flowers, and prayed in turn at the graves of former Presidents Kim Dae-jung, Kim Young-sam, Park Chung-hee, and Rhee Syngman.
Visiting the National Cemetery a day before the official election campaign, Candidate Lee said, "I will mobilize every bit of my soul and do my utmost to strive for a better life for our people." In the guestbook, he wrote, "I will become a unifying president strong in crisis and a competent economic president, carrying on the will of the patriots."
